The NPS formula
NPS = % of promoters (9 and 10) minus % of detractors (0 to 6). Passives (7 and 8) count in the total but neither add nor subtract. The score ranges from -100 to +100.
Worked example
Out of 50 responses: 25 promoters (50%), 15 passives (30%) and 10 detractors (20%). NPS = 50 - 20 = +30. These figures are an example, not a market benchmark.

What is a good NPS?
A positive score means more promoters than detractors. What counts as good depends heavily on your industry: compare yourself mainly with yourself over time.
How many responses do I need?
The more, the more stable the score. With only a few responses, a single score can swing the result.
Is my data saved?
No. The calculation runs in your browser; nothing is sent or stored.
Why don't passives count?
They count in the total, which lowers the percentages, but they neither add nor subtract.
How can I automate NPS surveys?
Plausa sends the survey after each job and turns promoters into testimonials (Pro plan).
